BJ Putnam is a Worship Pastor has a heart for ministry, a passion for leading worship at his home church, the multi-campus, multicultural Church for the Nations in Phoenix as well as churches across the United States, and a desire to coach others to their true potential in worship ministry.
“My mission and my goal are to help people experience God’s presence,” said Putnam. “I know if I can get people in his presence, they’ll change because that’s what happens when you experience God. Lives change.”
Putnam’s musical gifts, his love for the Lord and these life lessons coalesce on his debut worship CD, More And More Live, co-produced with Israel Houghton and available in stores today. The CD, a potent worship project, is inspired in many ways by his early church building experiences as missionaries with his family in Latin America and currently at Church For The Nations, where he has served as worship pastor for the past 13 years. “The songs talk about how He’s everything, the One who carried the cross and carries me, even through tough times,” Putnam said. “It’s kind of a nice picture of how Jesus carried everything on the cross for us, and he also cares about every aspect and detail of our lives.”
The singer/songwriter is passionate about resourcing the church with tools for worship and is partnering with his label, eOne Worship, and church music resource companies CCLI, LifewayWorship.com, PraiseCharts, Worship Leader Magazine and MultiTracks.com to offer his songs to music ministries across the country. Tools such as choir charts, chord charts, lyrics, lead sheets, lyric and teaching videos, tracks and music from Putnam’s new CD will be widely available.
Worship Leader Magazine selected one of the album’s most popular tracks, “Beautiful Love,” for their March/April issue Song DISCovery disc. According to Phil Sillas, Song DISCovery A&R, the track is notable as “the ‘moment’ song that will resonate with the church in terms of worship teams playing it on Sunday mornings. Absolutely stunning!” Check out the lyric video for the song here.
In addition to providing worship resources to the church, Putnam often collaborates with fellow worship artists. Putnam is frequently invited by other worship leaders to be a part of their worship albums including Darlene Zschech’s latest album, Revealing Jesus. “The first time I met BJ Putnam I was taken by his humility and willingness to serve,” said Zschech, international worship artist. “When I found out about his voice and his ability to write and communicate songs of worship, I was astounded. I know you will be blessed and refreshed through his ministry.”
Putnam’s More And More Live worship experience was captured on video at his home church. Two of the songs, the upbeat anthem “Glorious” and tender “More and More,” will be released by video outlets to help share this life-changing worship experience with audiences across the country.
A radio version of “Beautiful Love,” produced by Ed Cash, is impacting Light AC radio now and AC radio in May.

“B.J. Putnam carries a grace in leading worship that beckons the heart to rise in adoration to the Father in an overflow of praise and thanksgiving. His intuitive sense of where things want to go in the moment as the flow of worship is unfolding under his oversight is only enhanced by his adept musical talent, his ability as a psalmist at turning a poetic phrase that grips the heart and imagination with Divine truth, and his crystal clear-toned smooth and soothing tenor voice.” – Dr. Mark Chironna, Mark Chironna Ministries, Church On The Living Edge Orlando, Florida
“B.J Putnam’s music will draw you into an encounter with Jesus. He is a refreshing voice that is both professional and prophetic. I believe everyone needs to get his music and be catapulted into an encounter with Christ.” – Benny Perez, Lead Pastor The Church in Las Vegas.
